In this article, I would like to tell you about my most recent book, titled Tales of Akeldama. I’m also sharing a book trailer with you.

Tales of Akeldama is my fourth book, published on October 21, 2024. This time, I ventured into writing four short horror stories that, while independent from one another, each explore different moments and characters. However, they are all connected by a single location: Akeldama, also known as the "Field of Blood," which I must tell you is a real, historical place located in the ancient city of Jerusalem.

But what makes this place interesting, and why did I choose it as the setting for these four stories? Well, its history is more than intriguing, for it is a place full of meaning and mystery, mentioned in the biblical scriptures. It appears in the Gospels, specifically in the New Testament, as the land purchased with the thirty pieces of silver Judas Iscariot received for betraying Jesus. After his betrayal and subsequent suicide, Judas, unable to return the money, threw it into the temple. This money was used to buy a field where foreigners could be buried, and it was named Akeldama, which means "Field of Blood."

In the context of my book Tales of Akeldama, the "Field of Blood" could be seen as a representation of how the characters' dark decisions and actions—initially driven by a thirst for vengeance—intertwine with the history of this cursed place, bringing with them far-reaching consequences that span the supernatural and the fatal.

Below, I am sharing the book’s synopsis, which you can purchase on Amazon, either in Kindle (Ebook) format or as a physical copy.

What if the most infamous betrayal in history left behind more than just whispers of treachery? What if it stained a place with a curse that echoed through time, claiming new victims with every generation?

Over two thousand years ago, a field in ancient Jerusalem was purchased with the thirty pieces of silver Judas Iscariot received for betraying Jesus. Known as Akeldama, or the "Field of Blood," it was meant to serve as a cemetery for foreigners, but its blood-soaked past left it forever cursed. Few know the true origins of the name, or the terrible fate awaiting those who set foot on its haunted soil.

Tales of Akeldama is a gripping collection of four contemporary horror stories, where the sins of the past collide with the dark motives of the present. A former Mossad agent, a ruthless American attorney, a Norwegian black metal band, and a landowner from northern Mexico are drawn to Akeldama, where they will confront their deepest fears—and the bloody price for their darkest choices.

Bound by fate, they will soon discover that some betrayals never die, and the cost of redemption may be paid in blood.
